Policies and Procedures

  1. Calgary Tennis is a trade name of Spierco Enterprises Ltd.
  2. Please note that due to the volume of registrations we receive, we can not follow up with people that submit incomplete registration forms.
  3. Every adult participant must complete their own registration form and return it with payment to the location stated on the registration form.
  4. Registrations will only be processed when payment and waiver forms have been received. First-come, first-served. Postdated cheques will not be accepted for registration.
  5. Gift certificates and coupons must be included with your registration and can only be used one at a time unless otherwise stated.
  6. All cheques should be made payable to: Calgary Tennis
  7. For your convenience and to avoid writing refunds, Calgary Tennis will not process your payments until you are booked in a class. If Calgary Tennis is unable to schedule a class for you, they will simply void your cheque(s). Please note that Calgary Tennis will not return undeposited cheques.
  8. Receipts can be provided upon request but will only be faxed or emailed at the end of the outdoor season. Calgary Tennis will not mail receipts.
  9. There will be a $31.50 administration fee for each cheque that is returned by the bank N.S.F. or otherwise.
  10. Some community associations charge community fees or guest fees. These fees are in addition to Calgary Tennis' listed prices and are determined solely by the community association.
  11. Every adult participant must complete their own waiver form.
  12. Families need only complete one waiver form but each participating family member's name must appear on the form as well as all participating adults signatures.
  13. Please note that due to the volume of registrations we receive, we can not follow up with people that submit incomplete registration forms.
  14. Cancellations may be made two weeks (14 days) or more prior to the first lesson without administration costs - 100% refund. One week (7 days) or more for a 50% refund. Less than 7 days - no money will be refunded. Please note that there will be no exceptions to this policy regardless of the situation.
  15. Once lessons have been scheduled, Calgary Tennis is not responsible for any that you miss, cancel, or would like to reschedule. No refunds. No exceptions. This applies to all types of lessons.
  16. In case of delays or cancellations, such as rain etc., lessons will be made up at a later date. Dates and times will be determined by Calgary Tennis. For scheduling reasons, Fridays, Saturdays and/or Sundays are the designated make-up days. It is the responsibility of every participant to be available for make-ups. Calgary Tennis is not responsible if you are unable to, or choose not to attend make-up classes. No refunds. No exceptions.
  17. If you are unsure as to whether there will be lessons because of bad weather use the following instructions: UNLESS YOU ARE NOTIFIED THAT LESSONS ARE CANCELLED, LESSONS ARE ON. Instructors will wait as long as they can before canceling classes. Remember, we are at the mercy of the weather.
  18. Times for all private, semi-private and create-your-own-group lessons are to be arranged with Calgary Tennis.  All times are to be arranged in advance. Once times have been arranged, Calgary Tennis is not responsible for any that you miss, cancel or attempt to reschedule. Please note that if you have time requests that conflict with dates/times that are being advertised for "Junior Group" and/or "Adult Group" lessons, the "Junior Group" and/or "Adult Group" lessons do take priority because these dates are being advertised in advance. Sometimes not all dates/times that are advertised in advance fill up so then we are able to free up those times for other lesson requests.
  19. Private lessons are made up of 1 instructor and 1 student. Semi-private lessons are made up of 1 instructor and 2 students. Group lessons are made up of 1 instructor and 4 or more students.
  20. Junior Group Lessons require a minimum of 5 students and are limited to a maximum of 10 students in each class. Juniors are grouped according to age. Adult Group Lessons require a minimum of 4 students and are limited to a maximum of 8 students in each class. Adults are grouped according to level of ability.
  21. These Policies and Procedures are subject to change without notice and additional Policies and Procedures may apply.
  22. Questions or concerns may be directed to Robin Spiers at (403) 202-4798.
